An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Development Team. We’re looking for a talented Engineering Controls & Automation Manager to join us at Taylors of Harrogate — home to the roasting, blending, and packing of our much‑loved teas and coffees.
In this role you'll lead our Controls and Automation team of two engineers and take responsibility for all technology and automation related projects. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. If you would like to discuss flexible working please provide more details in your application.
About you
You'll bring experience from a similar role within a food or FMCG environment along with the ability to provide clear, supportive leadership while continuing to grow your own skills. You'll be confident, self-motivated and able to be flexible in line with the needs of the business. With strong attention to detail, you're able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering
- Expert in controls engineering
- Experienced in engineering project management
- Experience of people management; coaching and developing a team
- High level of general electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
- Plant installations and commissioning experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment
- Experience of Machinery Safety, PUWER and CE Marking highly desirable.
