Are you looking to be part of the magic behind Christmas at Bettys? Our Craft Bakery in Starbeck is preparing for our busiest and most exciting season, and we're looking for 20 Seasonal Bakery Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis between August and December 2026.

Working at the heart of our bakery operation, you'll help make, bake, pack and distribute the much-loved products that our customers enjoy throughout the festive season. We have opportunities across several departments, including:

  • Pastry
  • Confectionery
  • Cake Decorating
  • Fulfilment
  • Despatch
  • Hygiene

What you'll be doing

Depending on the area you work in, your duties may include:

  • Assisting with the production, baking and finishing of our bakery products, including our famous Fat Rascals.
  • Packing freshly made handcrafted products and applying labels accurately to specification.
  • Preparing products for safe and timely despatch to our five Café Tea Rooms.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout the bakery.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met during our busiest period.

Available Shifts

We have a variety of shift patterns available, including:

  • 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • 1:00pm - 9:00pm

About You

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to play a part in creating the Bettys Christmas experience and who are available to work between August and December 2026.

You will:

  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Be comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Take pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Be reliable, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards.

No previous bakery or food production experience is required. Full training will be provided, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a rewarding seasonal role.
