Join us as an HSE Advisor at Bettys & Taylors Group – our family business is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands: Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone enthusiastic, dedicated and self-motivated to join us as a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor on a permanent basis.
Based at our Plumpton Park site in Harrogate, this role supports the delivery of HSE policy, procedure and plans across Bettys & Taylors Group to ensure that we maintain the highest health and safety standards.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 over 5 days. This role can accommodate hybrid working and flexible hours. Collaborating in-person with your peers 3 days per week would normally be expected. If you would like to discuss flexible working, please provide more details in your application.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Working knowledge and experience of H&S issues.
- Experience of providing health and safety advice, ideally within manufacturing, food or facilities environment, and be able to demonstrate how they have helped to reduce risk and improve performance.
- A relevant H&S qualification e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH etc., and preferably membership of IOSH and be working towards chartered status.
- Some experience of environmental issues, although this is not essential.
- Experience of cross functional team working.
- Managed relationships as a business partner.
In addition, we would expect that you will also have:
- A passion for the health, safety and welfare of employees.
- A good standard of education and strong IT skills.
- Excellent customer service and organisation skills, and impressive attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and to lead by example.
- A commitment to continued personal development, and to advancing and honing your expertise by keeping up-to-date with changes in health and safety laws and legislation.
- A Full UK Driving Licence as you must be able to travel to all our sites
